Bellini’s Norma
At the Ancient Theatre of Messene, Bellini’s Norma will be presented in concert form, featuring renowned opera singers and the Camerata – Friends of Music Orchestra, conducted by George Petrou.
The event will take place on Saturday, July 12 at 8:30 p.m., as part of the Athens Concert Hall’s “The Megaron Outside the Megaron” series.
Cast: Karine Deshayes as Norma • Moises Marin as Pollione • Christoforos Stamboglis as Oroveso • Raffaela Lupinacci as Adalgisa • Giannis Kalyvas as Flavio • Diamantis Kritsotakis as Clotilde.
The Athens Chamber Choir, conducted by Agathangelos Georgakatos, will also participate. Camerata – Friends of Music Orchestra. Music Director: George Petrou. Music preparation: Dimitris Giakas. With Greek and English surtitles.
The event is sponsored by the George and Victoria Karelias Foundation, with the support of the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation and the Municipality of Messene.
In collaboration with the organization Diazoma, the Ephorate of Antiquities of Messenia, and the Society for Messenian Archaeological Studies. Ticket presales have begun.
